Introducing Zap and UltraZapEnviroPak, a range of new biodegradable and compostable products that are designed to improve the natural disposal of absorbent cellulose food safety pads.

The product line includes three new products:

Zap and UltraZapEnviroPak Natural Tissue food safety pads include a natural tissue core that is biodegradable, compostable and just as sanitary, safe, and absorbent as bleached white tissue.

PPI's natural tissue is made using a chlorine/bleach-free process that requires less energy and leaves a smaller carbon footprint.

Zap and UltraZapEnviroPak Bio Poly absorbent food safety pads feature a polyethylene backing that will degrade (as per ASTM D3826) and biodegrade (as per ASTM D5988) in most municipal solid waste systems.

The degradation is triggered by heat and UV light and is enhanced by mechanical stress and moisture

UltraZapEnviroPak Terra absorbent food safety pads feature a high wet strength tissue instead of a polymer sheet on the outside of our highly absorbent, FDA-approved cellulose core.

UltraZapEnviroPak Terra absorbent food pads are biodegradable and compostable per ASTM 6400 standards and comply with FDA/USDA (USA) and European food packaging standards.
